Two terrorists attempting to carry out an attack in Kathua district's Saida Sukhal village were thwarted by alert villagers. The terrorists went door-to-door asking for water, arousing suspicion. When villagers shut their doors, the terrorists opened fire, killing a paramilitary soldier and injuring a civilian. Security forces responded, killing one terrorist and searching for the second.
