Nitheesha Kandula, a 23-year-old Indian student from Hyderabad, was found safe in California after being missing for a week. Kandula, a student at California State University, San Bernardino, went missing on May 28. The Los Angeles Police confirmed her safety on Tuesday. Chief John Guttierez announced her discovery on social media, without giving further details. The police had earlier urged anyone with information to come forward. Kandula's disappearance had worried the Indian community, highlighting similar cases of missing students in the US.
