Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut criticized Maharashtra's Deputy CM Eknath Shinde for questioning Uddhav Thackeray's absence from the Maha Kumbh, turning the tables by questioning why Shinde didn’t question RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, who also skipped the event. Raut pointed out that prominent RSS figures, including its founder and Hindutva ideologues like Vinayak Savarkar, never attended the Kumbh. Raut further criticized the political significance of PM Modi’s Kumbh visits and questioned Shinde’s dissatisfaction with his role in the Maharashtra government, claiming he seeks to merge Shiv Sena into the BJP for a CM position.    

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin criticized the dominance of Hindi over other regional languages in India, claiming it has led to the erosion of many native languages. Stalin asserted that Hindi's imposition across the country undermines linguistic diversity, particularly in states where regional languages and identities are central. He emphasized that the promotion of Hindi under the guise of national unity was threatening the cultural fabric of non-Hindi speaking states. Stalin's comments were made in the context of the ongoing debate around the National Education Policy, which he claims privileges Hindi, sidelining other regional languages that should be equally respected.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has strongly criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah's recent advocacy for the acceptance of Hindi across India. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has accused the Delhi Assembly Speaker of unprecedentedly banning AAP MLAs from the assembly. She stated that this action is without precedent and has led to the suspension of five BJP MLAs who protested against her calling attention motion on alleged illegal interferences by the Lieutenant Governor in education matters. Atishi emphasized that such a ban has never occurred before, highlighting the unprecedented nature of the Speaker's decision.

The recent appointment of Dr. A. Shaija as Dean at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut has sparked significant controversy. Dr. Shaija, a professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, had previously expressed admiration for Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi's assassin, on social media. The Centre has informed the Supreme Court that imposing a lifetime ban on politicians convicted in criminal cases is "harsh." Atishi defended AAP’s scrapped liquor policy, blaming BJP for obstructing its revenue goals. She claimed the Centre, CBI, and ED disrupted implementation by filing cases against AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. “The CAG report confirms the policy was transparent and aimed at stopping black sales,” Atishi said. She argued BJP critics follow “headquarters pointers” instead of facts. The new policy had projected ₹9,000 crore in revenue, double the previous ₹4,100 crore. The Delhi Assembly saw uproar over the issue, leading to the suspension of 21 AAP MLAs, including Atishi, for three days.
