Sources have revealed that the shooters responsible for the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique had initially planned to target Bollywood actor Salman Khan. However, the attack was thwarted due to the actor's tight security, according to the accused's confessions. The shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, had earlier opened fire outside Salman Khan's residence in April, an incident claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Khan has been repeatedly targeted with threats from the gang, leading to increased security measures, including Y+ security and advanced surveillance systems. Siddique was killed in October outside his son’s office in Mumbai.

India’s IndiGo secured 103rd place in the 2024 AirHelp Score report, ranking among the “world’s worst airlines” based on punctuality, service quality, and claims handling. The EU-based survey assessed data from January to October across 109 airlines, placing Brussels Airlines at the top. IndiGo strongly refuted the findings, citing its high punctuality and low complaint ratio. It questioned the survey's methodology, particularly the undisclosed sample size from India, calling it “lacking credibility.” AirHelp aims to encourage better airline performance through feedback. Air India ranked 61st, while Tunisair placed last at 109th.

A tragic stampede occurred at the Pushpa 2 premiere in Hyderabad on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre. Overwhelmed by the presence of actor Allu Arjun, the massive crowd surged, resulting in the death of 39-year-old Revathi, a Dilsukhnagar resident. Her 9-year-old son, Sri Tej, remains in critical condition at KIMS Hospital. Chaos ensued as fans rushed to glimpse Arjun, who briefly addressed the crowd under heavy security. Police struggled to control the situation, leading to injuries. Revathi’s body was moved to Gandhi Mortuary, while authorities are investigating the incident.

A man trespassed onto Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s shooting set in Mumbai, claiming to be a fan wanting to watch the shoot. When security denied him access, the man allegedly uttered, “Bishnoi ko bolun kya?” (Should I inform Bishnoi?). Security quickly alerted police, and the man was taken to Shivaji Park Police Station for questioning. Authorities found no criminal background. The incident comes amid a string of threats to Salman Khan, mainly from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, related to a 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Salman is under heavy security after repeated threats in recent months.  

IndiGo has rejected the findings of the AirHelp Score report 2024, which ranked it 103rd out of 109 airlines. The report also placed Air India at 61st and AirAsia at 94th. IndiGo stated it consistently performs well in punctuality and customer satisfaction, citing data from India's aviation regulator, DGCA. "The report lacks clarity on sample size and methodology, raising doubts about its credibility," IndiGo said. With over 7.25 crore passengers and a 61.3% market share this year, IndiGo remains India's top airline. The company reaffirmed its commitment to offering on-time and hassle-free travel.

Bank employees are unlikely to see a 5-day workweek this December, as the government has not provided any approval. The All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) plans to start protests soon. According to AIBOC General Secretary Rupam Roy, bank unions have invited other associations to join their movement. An agreement on the 5-day week has already been reached between the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and unions, but it awaits final approval from the government and Reserve Bank of India. Unions have assured that customer service hours will not be reduced, with longer daily work hours planned.

Narain Singh Chaura, a 68-year-old resident of Punjab’s Gurdaspur district, was arrested for attempting to shoot former Punjab Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on December 4, 2024. Chaura, linked to the pro-Khalistan group Babbar Khalsa, approached Badal while he was serving penance at the temple and fired a gun, which narrowly missed Badal. The attack occurred after Badal, in a wheelchair, began performing religious punishment for his role in the 2015 sacrilege case. Chaura had previously been involved in the 2004 Burail jailbreak and was released on bail in 2018.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, Shiromani Akali Dal leader, narrowly escaped an attack at the Golden Temple, Amritsar. Narain Singh Chaura, an ex-Babbar Khalsa International terrorist, opened fire while Badal, fulfilling a religious punishment, served as a guard outside the temple. Videos showed Badal, in a wheelchair and dressed in a blue 'sewadar' uniform, taking cover as nearby officials overpowered Chaura. The attacker, known for smuggling arms and writing guerrilla warfare literature in Pakistan, was handed over to police. Officials stated Chaura had previously served jail time in Punjab for his involvement in the Burail jailbreak case.

Comedian Sunil Pal has reportedly gone missing, with his wife informing the Santacruz police after failing to reach him.
