A 20-year-old man from Sanjak village in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district was allegedly tricked into undergoing sex reassignment surgery at Begrajpur Medical College. His friend, Omprakash Pal, colluded with doctors to perform the surgery, claiming the victim had a medical issue. The victim woke up to find his genitals removed and was threatened by Omprakash to live with him or face consequences. The accused was arrested after protests by the Bharatiya Kisan Union. Police investigation revealed that the victim was lured to the hospital on June 3 and administered anesthesia before the surgery. The incident has sparked outrage and shock in the community.

4 people, including the driver and conductor, died when a Himachal Roads Transport Corporation bus rolled down a hill in Shimla on Friday morning.
