Five people were killed in a gunfire exchange between Kuki and Meitei groups in Jiribam district, Manipur, on Saturday. One Meitei village volunteer was shot dead in his sleep, and four armed men were killed in subsequent clashes. The violence escalated after militants attacked a house and launched rocket attacks in Bishnupur, killing one person and injuring five. Security forces in Manipur have destroyed three militant bunkers in Churachandpur district after a rocket attack killed one person and injured six others in Bishnupur. Located in South 24 Parganas, the two-story property is registered in Ghosh's and his wife Sangeeta's names. The ED's investigation follows allegations of mismanagement at the institution, where a trainee doctor was raped and murdered. The agency's findings indicate that Ghosh's assets are under scrutiny.
