Sri Lankan Navy arrested 22 Indian fishermen, accusing them of crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line. Thirteen are from Mayiladuthurai, two each from Nagapattinam and Pudukkottai, and one each from Ramanathapuram, Cuddalore, and Chennai. Two others are from Karaikal. The arrest led to a fishing activity stoppage in Jegathapattinam. In the first incident, seven fishermen were seized from a group of 70 boats near Neduntheevu. Another 15 were arrested off Karaikal. Two boats were confiscated. The fishermen were handed over to the Sri Lankan fisheries department, sparking condemnation and protests.

A 25-year-old Indian woman, Ferin Khoja, has gone missing in New York City. She was last seen leaving her Queens residence on March 1 at 11 pm, wearing an olive green jacket, green sweater, and blue jeans. Khoja, who suffers from bipolar disorder, is being sought by the 112 Precinct Detective Squad. The New York City Police Department has released her photograph, seeking public assistance. Nine months after the shooting death of designated Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar outside a gurudwara in Surrey, British Columbia, video footage of the incident has emerged.
