With this, Dunki has become the 6th highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2023 so far. It is now aiming to surpass Tiger 3 to break into the top 5 grossers club. Backed by strong word of mouth and SRK's star power, Dunki continues its steady run at the box office in its second week.

Two Mumbai advocates, Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, have lodged a complaint at Ghatkopar police station against Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and his family. The complaint alleges that a viral video of Kapoor lighting a Christmas cake and saying 'Jai Mata Di' while wine was poured on it hurt religious sentiments. Claiming deliberate disrespect to Hindu practices, the advocates seek an FIR against Kapoor under sections 295A, 298, 500, and 34. Alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has hit back at Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez's plea alleging that he sent her intimidating letters from jail. In an application filed in a Delhi court, Chandrashekhar challenged the actress to prove that any of his letters were threatening or tried to influence her as a witness in the INR 200 crore extortion case against him. The conman said he is ready to face punishment if even one of his letters to Jacqueline is found to be intimidating. Last week, Jacqueline moved court seeking a bar on Sukesh contacting her, citing mental harassment. The court had supported her plea. Sukesh questioned why the actress approached the court a year after first receiving his letters. Jacqueline is a protected witness in the case against Chandrashekhar.
