The driver was arrested and is not seen as a further threat. The crash happened near a protest linked to a Verdi union strike, reports said. The incident comes just before the Munich Security Conference, where US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy are expected. Authorities are still verifying details. Last year, a similar attack at a Christmas market in Magdeburg killed six people and injured 200.

PM Narendra Modi is in Washington DC for key meetings. He will meet US President Donald Trump to discuss trade and immigration. Trump plans to impose new tariffs, which may impact India. Modi will also meet Elon Musk to talk about Tesla and Starlink’s plans in India. The visit comes after the US deported 104 illegal Indian immigrants, sparking concerns. In a BBC interview, Former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud defended his stance on the abrogation of Article 370, explaining it as a "transitional provision" meant to fade away. He questioned if 75 years was too short a time for its removal. Chandrachud addressed legal scholars' disappointment with the Supreme Court's 2019 decision, emphasizing that the elected government had the right to abrogate such provisions. He also discussed his tenure as CJI, the expansion of justice access, and the diversity of judicial recruitment.  

A massive fire broke out early on February 13, 2025, at a food processing facility located on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway in Sangli, Maharashtra. The blaze, which caused significant damage to the modernized facility, was contained after two hours by six fire tenders. The cause of the fire remains unknown. The facility produced export-quality processed foods, including pulps, candies, sauces, and brines. The damage, amounting to crores of rupees, has disrupted operations and inconvenienced locals due to the intense smoke.

Apple's iPhones in China will leverage Alibaba's AI technology, a partnership driven by local regulations requiring collaboration with accredited Chinese companies. This move follows Apple's efforts to find a suitable AI provider, with Alibaba emerging as the chosen partner. The collaboration could enhance Apple's AI capabilities in China and help revive iPhone sales, which have seen a decline due to competition from Huawei. While the partnership is long-term, it’s unclear whether Alibaba will be Apple's exclusive AI provider in the region.  

The UK-India Young Professionals Scheme 2025 offers 3,000 visas for Indian nationals aged 18-30, allowing them to live, work, and study in the UK for up to two years. To apply, individuals must enter an online ballot from February 18-20, 2025. Eligibility includes a UK-recognized degree, proof of £2,530 in savings, and no dependent children. Selected candidates will receive an invitation to apply for the visa. Fees include £298 for the visa and £1,552 for healthcare. The visa does not allow dependents or extensions.

The Indian Army has confirmed that the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan remains intact, refuting reports of instability. While minor incidents like cross-LoC firing and an IED blast have occurred, they are being managed through established protocols. The Army emphasized no heavy-caliber weapons have been exchanged, and the situation remains stable, with a high state of alertness maintained.
